Why it matters

What this does to artists

Unfair dismissal. Section 20 is the route for an arts worker dismissed without just cause or excuse, and the claim goes to the Industrial Court, not the civil courts. It also governs recognition of trade unions, which matters if arts workers ever organise.

Watch this

Sixty days from dismissal to file under s.20. Miss it and the claim is gone.
