Art × Law Initiative Malaysia, championing legal rights for Malaysia's creative communities since 2025.
Our Mission
ALIM exists to make legal support reachable for Malaysia's creative community: musicians, visual artists, filmmakers, writers, and cultural workers who rarely have a lawyer on speed dial. We offer confidential advice, plain-language guidance, and a growing network of counsel who understand both the law and the realities of a creative career.
Since 2025, our work has stood on three commitments: advice that meets artists where they are, advocacy that pushes for fairer treatment across the industry, and education that closes the gap between artists and the legal system built to protect them.
