Why it matters

What this does to artists

The self-employed social security scheme administered by PERKESO. This is the only realistic injury and disability cover for a freelance artist, and contribution is the difference between a broken wrist being an inconvenience and being the end of a career.

Watch this

Coverage is by declared sector under the First Schedule; check that the artist's activity is a listed self-employment before assuming cover.
